5th Grade - Lessons 1 & 2

Good morning class!

We are starting the Unit 5, and it is better if we work on it little by little. (No hagáis todas las actividades de golpe y sin entender los conceptos, solo por tenerlas hechas... porque entonces no os servirá de nada. Las explicaciones las iremos viendo poco a poco y las dudas las podéis preguntar en comentarios)

We are going to start with Lessons 1 and 2.

I suppose that everyone had the vocabulary words of the unit (page 50) copied and translated in the Vocabulary page of your notebook. (Esto ya lo hicimos en clase)

Now we will start with the GRAMMAR POINT:

In this unit we are going to learn the use of COULD and COULDN'T.

On page 51, you have the Grammar Chart with some examples.

COULD is the past of CAN

-AFFIRMATIVE AND NEGATIVE: After COULD/COULDN'T the verbs are used in present (Despuás de COULD/COULDN'T los verbos se escriben en presente)

-INTERROGATIVE: Questions start with COULD, and the answers always finish with COULD OR COULDN'T. (Como siempre, si preguntamos con Could, las respuestas siempre acaban en Could o couldn't)

Now, the grammar point is explained, and you can complete the activities of the Lessons 1 and 2.

THINGS TO DO/ HOMEWORK:

CLASS BOOK: (de forma oral siempre, este libro no se puede escribir)

Page 50 activity 1 and page 51 activity 1. Read the grammar chart (p52, act2) CAREFULLY! and if you can, play the game in Activity 3 (with your family or friends) ( Si queréis hacer la actividad 3 con algun amigo o amiga, primo o vecino y tenéis la posibilidad de hacerlo por videollamada, puede ser guay. Si no podéis, no pasa nada. Es una idea para practicar de forma diferente).

ACTIVITY BOOK: 

Page 50, activities 1 and 3. 

Page 51, activity 1, activity 2 and 3. La 2 es un listening, pero os inventáis los tick✔️ and cross ❌ y completáis la actividad 3 con los resultados que os hayáis inventado.
